Logan whaley - Lead guitar & vocals
While perhaps best known for performing all over the New York Metro area and for his work with Vana Liya, GeoTribe & Zestrove, Long Island musical icon Logan Whaley continues to build momentum as a solo performer, gaining respect in the music community as a songwriter, singer, poet, artist, and musician. He has toured at the Angry Orchard Festival, Hightopps Festival, Bitter End, and Brooklyn Bowl. Logan Whaley is a creative force whose deeply-felt lyrics, mesmerizing stage presence, and evocative style translate into unforgettable live sets. His music is a decorative motif of fusion-pop, rock, R&B, classical, and even jazz, and backed by a talented band; his music refuses to be categorized.
Nick Balzano - Drums & Vocals
Nick has been involved with the Long Island music community for over 10 years because of his jam band, A Band In Ship, where he plays guitar. As ABIS entered a state of hiatus, Logan happened to need a drummer. Nick & Logan had spoken about collaboration for a long time and the time was finally right! In addition to playing drums with Whaley, Nick frequents the stage with Ernie & the Band, Kaido, Pete Mancini and The Belle Curves. He has also provided his drumming in the studio for other artists of many different styles from Americana to R&B.
Nick has also taken on some managerial tasks for the band. He has put together many small events in the past, one big one (Pine Barrens Jam) and was the main force behind A Band In Ship’s journey from local to regional band.
Andrew Pomerantz - Bass & Vocals
A seasoned jazz musician from the Long Island / NYC music scene, Andrew seeks to breathe life into the music with spontaneity and improvisation. Mainly known for his time with GeoTribe and Zestrove, he has performed alongside Logan at esteemed venues such as "The Bitter End" and "Brooklyn Bowl." Andrew effectively creates rhythmic melodic bass lines in an effort to compliment the musicians around him. Similar to many other bassists, Andrew originally took up bass to fill a void in his high-school rock band Chateau Drive. Fast-forward a few years and he was attending music school with bass as his instrument, where he and Logan met.
daveer mohan - Producer, keys & Sax
Daveer is the magic sauce behind Whaley’s sound. He’s been a longtime collaborator with Logan and the band records at his private studio where he is the lead engineer. Daveer is called on stage when the band needs the big guns for festivals or hometown throwdowns. When Alex is unavailable he steps up and covers the keys parts with precision.
